Obituary of William G. Kelly

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, William George Kelly Sr. Sadly, he passed away  on February 4, 2023 at the age of 91, surrounded by family.

He is survived by his loving wife Marie of 67 years, 7 children Billy Jr. and  wife Karen, Matthew and wife Arlene, Patricia and husband Chris Murdoch, Eileen and husband Patrick McDade, Colleen and husband Chris Welsh, Maureen and husband Sal Fioravante, Michael and wife Martha. He also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, siblings Kathleen Dosch, James Kelly, Tommy Bergin, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by daughters Kathleen, Mary Ann, grandson Joseph  and sister Maureen Quinn.,

He had many friends and was well-loved in the Marine Park community where he grew up and raised his family.

A devout Catholic, he and his wife were very active in the Good Shephard Parish where all their children attended school.

He retired after working 42 years with New York Telephone Co.

Forever In Our Hearts 

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May William's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Wake service will be on Tuesday February 7, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11234, 718-339-8900

Funeral mass will be on Wednesday February 8, 2023 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church at 9:45 AM, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11229.
