I light this candle for my Uncle Joe, whom I truly loved, and likely did a poor job of letting him know that. He was wise, so smart, and one of the funniest men around. He was very 'worldly' to me as a child, living in NY and sharing all those crazy stories. He told me that I would leave Milwaukee, as 'it was too small of a town for a girl like me'. And I understood what he meant by that, completely. We wrote to each other, and I will cherish his thoughts and words, and his humor. Rest peacefully, Uncle Joe.
