Obituary of Janice Saunders-Ashton
Janice Saunders-Ashton, aged 77, of Brooklyn, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1946, in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late Ewart V. Saunders and the late Elvira Moody Saunders.
Janice was a beloved mother, a cherished grandmother, a loving sister, and a dear friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She dedicated her life to the care and support of others, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
Throughout her lifetime, Janice exemplified selflessness and compassion. Her unwavering commitment to helping those in need was a cornerstone of her character. Janice's caring nature and the warmth of her smile made her a beacon of light for her family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, one that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Janice's memory will forever be cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn, NY and/ or The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good shepherd, Brooklyn, NY.
Reposing Friday, November 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
The service of remembrance will be held 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 18 at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
