Yolanda Murray, age 70, of Brooklyn, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2024. Yolanda was born on December 21, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. She is the daughter of the late Felix and the late Erasma (Torres) Mattos. Beloved mother of Celinda Kovac, Samantha Valentin, and Jennifer Kassten. Cherished grandmother of Milla, Olivia, and Emily.
Yolanda was an animal lover and had a passion for scary movies and thrillers. She was known for her humor and lively personality, making friends wherever she went. Yolanda was dedicated to her children and grandchildren, always generous and selfless. She never hesitated to offer a ride to anyone in need. Yolanda loved nature and road trips, always making everyone feel at home with her cooking.
Her favorite store was Walmart, and she enjoyed snacks from Pizza Hut and Coca-Cola. Yolanda was not only warm and welcoming but also wise, intuitive, and creative. She always had the right advice and knew what to do in any situation.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, June 24 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn.
Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
