Obituary of Linda A. Scarpati

Linda A. Scarpati, age 77, of Brooklyn, NY passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, PA.

Linda has been a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, NY where she also raised her family. In her early years, Linda had a passion as a Hairdresser and stylist. She trained under Vidal Sassoon and was employed by Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan for 20 years. Linda earned her Master's and retired as a teacher where she taught High School English for 20 years. Devoted to her Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, Brooklyn, NY. Linda enjoyed painting as well as dancing and singing. She was a longtime member of the Silver Gull Beach Club in Breezy Point.

In addition to her parents, Harold and Rita DiNapoli Olson, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, James Scarpati who died in 2010. She is survived by her two children, Melissa (Michael) McCormack, and James (Liz Johannesen) Scarpati, a sister, Lorraine Plumeau and two grandchildren, Madison McCormack and Skylar Scarpati.

Family and friends are invited to attend Linda's viewing on Wednesday, August 14th from 2:00 -4:00 PM and again from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Rd., Brooklyn, NY 11234.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 9:30 AM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Rd., Brooklyn, NY.

Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY
